1.The local people of this city are espousing that Sarvestan was made by ARDSHIR 2th on 400B.C. for defence PERSPOLIS (capital of Persia empire 550-330B.C). Because every troops could reach to Perspolis. This cabbala is more near to real.
2.An earthquake happened in Fars, and Sarvestan existed.
3.When greeks attacked to Persia went to a jungle(Middle Forest) and stayed there,so made a city.
4.The fire is very important and
holy for Iranians.They construct an ATROPATCAN (where that fireworshippers keep the fire
there) and people went to there for pilgrimage that Atropatcan and stayed there. This
ATROPATCAN is now left SASAN PALAS.
This 4story told by some local people that more thatn of them were oldman or oldwoman.
We know when the ACHAEMENIDS (First empire of kings of Iran) defeated of Alexander(330 B.C),some of Zoroastrians went to PARS (The central goverment province) and made an ATROPATCAN in Sarvestan and stayed there and because Sarvestan had underground water and some seasonal river,also there was a wildwood named (MIDDLE FOREST) and people could to live there,So that city titled holy city in Pars.
In ASHKANIAN(256B.C-227A.D) age sarvestan became an important city,even in 130A.D got the Capital of Pars.
The Cypresses of this city famoused this city to Sarvestan. Sarvestan in persian mean Cypressland.(SARV=Cypress,STAN=land).
SASAN (98-204 A.D) was the boss of Atropatcan of sarvestan that now we say to there SasanPalas.Sasan's son named BABAK was orginator of 3th Empire kings of Iran.Due to it,SASANGERD became Modern Sarvestan's name in (205-246 A.D).
After it on 1st Shapoor's govern,Sarvestan changed to modern name of there.
Sarvestan entried to inactivity age of its history after 246A.D.
In 656A.D the wild Bedouin Arabs that became Muslim attaked to Persia and could defeat Sasanian Empire through ovation of Persians, After this Arabs Governed on Iran 50years.
Iranians that repented through accepting Arab Muslims govern, made a revolation and could to find Independent.In this age that was the period starting of grandeur of SHIRAZ,any body couldn't remember name of SARVESTAN.(656-710 A.D)
Sarvestan had converted to a big village.(710-1734 A.D).
NaderShah king of Iran could to defeat ASHRAF AFGHAN in Sarvestan and became king of Iran about 1734 A.D.
Sarvestan wasn't a big city,due to it partly any body didn't migrate to this city 1200years.
In 1800 A.D,Sarvestan became a city.KarimKhan king of Iran,Sarvestan got the center of Maharloo region.
In last migrating to Sarvestan,some of Ghashghaie tribe went to there.
After the migrating ASHAYERs to Sarvestan,Parishs Feudalism became to United Feudalism Except in villages.
In 1908 Some europan,discovered Petrol(Green oil) the best kind of oil in the world.Sarvestan got to an important city again.Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi,King of Iran inaugurate there in 1966.
Sarvestan was and is in a kingway for transit,This kingway is most important way for exporting oil and importing products of other country.In 1999 people of Sarvestan clogged this kingway due to contest to election's results a week,that Iran incured $1200000.
In 1920,NasrollahKhan Kamali bought Sarvestan and Became BozorgKhan(Great gerent).He converted Sarvestan to an agronomic pole in Fars as today Sarvestan is an important pole.
After Nasrollahkhan,Gholamali khan became khan in 1945.He is alive now.
In Iran-Iraq war(1980-1990), Sarvestan donated 252 martyres of best youth boys of this city to Iran.
