Sept 2005: Masai Mara

In September, we went on our first safari!  We flew to the Masai Mara for 3 days and stayed in a tented camp.  The camp was really nice, especially for the girls.  They had a kids club, where kids can meet local Masai and learn from them.  Cara and Malia learned tracks and droppings of different animals, how to shoot a bow and arrow, fishing, and even how to make fire!  There was also a "Masai training" course, which was lots of fun. 

We saw lots of animals on safari, but as you can guess, the girls were more interested in spending time with Mike doing Masai training.  Below is a collection of photos taken from our first safari.
