Feb 2006: Amboseli and Tsavo

In February, we went on a safari to Amboseli NP and Tsavo West NP.  My Aunt Joan was supposed to come with us, but just before she was scheduled to travel, she fell and injured her hip so she could not travel.  So, we ended up going by ourselves.  This was our first "self-guided" safari in our own vehicle.  Was alot more fun being out there on our own.  We drove down to Amboseli NP and stayed two nights in the Sopa lodge, then drove over to Tsavo West NP and stayed two nights in the Serena Kilagoni.  We liked the Serena very much.  They have a wonderful viewing area near a waterhole, so you can sit back and watch as the animals come to you!
