Simona Sarti
The artistic skills of Simona Sarti, born in Rome in 1956, originate in her
own “signs”. Signs as a form of expression, as a sort of instinctive
communication to unveil an inner world that otherwise could not be
classified or reduced to conventional schemes. The artistic movement that
impressed her most is the informal art and, referring to this context, when
she is out of pencils or brushes she uses materials that she can simply use
with her hands. Her works have been on show in several collective and
personal exhibitions both in Italy and abroad in Dakar, Alquado, Barcelona,
Arab Emirates, Padua, Rome, Naples. A few works of hers are on exhibition
at museums and her name is quoted in a book on contemporary art.She speaks of her own art as “an emotion in progress”, a process that, though
repeated, urges her to go farther and never leaves her “completely
satisfied”. This momentum urges her to goes on with her own research to
reach for new archetypes…
