Shalom Friends,
Israel is not the same as any other nations!
It is really sad that many have no clue what is in our FATHER’s heart ! Psalms
122:6 says “ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee”
& Gen 12:3, Gen 27:29, Num 24:9 all these scriptures say very clearly those who
bless Israel will be blessed & those who curse Israel will be cursed!
At the end of April 2003, I heard with my own ears one apostle from South
Malaysia said over the pulpit that he had no desire at all to go to Israel & he
said Israel is the same as any other nation in the world & he also said that
Malaysia is also a Holy Land not only Israel, he said the only difference is
Israel has a special destiny in God.And he said that some people are crazy about
going to Israel!
And then he said USA is blessed because she blessed many smaller nations. (The
real reason why USA is blessed is because she blessed ISRAEL ,not because she
blessed other smaller nations)
My heart was so grieved when I heard those words, as he was undermining Israel.
The fact is Israel is the glory of all lands (Eze20:6), Israel is the most
unique nation in the world & it is a land full of milk & honey.
I studied & lived in NYC, USA for 12 years & I have also visited many Eastern &
Western nations, but I still have not found one nation that is more blessed than
Israel in many aspects !
The very fact that Yeshua Ha Mashiach will return on the Mount of Olives tells
us that Israel is not the same as any other nation on earth! (Zechariah 14:4 On
that day his feet will stand on the Mt of Olives, east of Jerusalem & the Mt of
Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half
of the mountain moving north & half moving south) & Acts1:9-12 After he said
this,he was taken up before their very eyes & a cloud hid him from their
sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly
two men dressed in white stood beside them.Men of Galilee, they said,"why do you
stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you
into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mt of Olives, a Sabbath
day's walk from the city.
He is going to rule & reign the whole world from Jerusalem makes Israel
different from any other nation!
Also Rev 21:2 says the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Where do u think it is going to
land? Surely it is the physical Jerusalem & not any where else in the world!
Jerusalem is the Holy City & also City of the Great King (Ps48:2)as God has put
His own name on Jerusalem!1Kings11:36 meaning that He owns Jerusalem! How can
Israel be the same as any other nation on earth??
Adapted from 365 Fascinating facts about the Holy Land written by Clarence H
Wagner, Jr.
The "glory of all lands" Eze 20:6 can refer to the fact that God sees Israel as
"His Land"Lev 25:23 & therefore it is the number one nation of the world, both
spiritually & literally.Living here in Israel for nearly a quarter century, it
is easy to see that the terrain, flora & fauna of this land reflects all of the
surrounding continents: Eurasia to the north, Asia to the east, Africa to the
south & the Mediterranean basin to the west, all of which cross-sect in the land
of Israel. Israel is like a connecting hinge between these continental spheres
of influence.
In general, Israel is a mountainous land. Running through this land of the Bible
is a deep gash in the earth. In Israel, it is called the Jordan Valley (north of
Dead Sea)& Arava Valley (South of Dead Sea).
The Land that God was bringing the Hebrews into was a land of rain, unlike their
experience in Egypt. "The land you are entering to take over is not like the
land of Egypt from which you have come, where you planted your seed & irrigated
it by foot as in a vegetable garden. But the land you are crossing the Jordan to
take possession of is a land of mountains & valleys that drinks rain from
heaven."(Deu11:10-11) The phrase "irrigated it by foot" is a reference to the
way fields are watered in Egypt where the crops are grown along the Nile River &
water is taken from the river by means of a water wheel operated with one's
foot. In Israel, God would water the fields with rain He would provide.
In most countries, there is a variety of terrain & climates.
However, these variations are often widely separated & the transition between
the zones is gradual.
This is not the case in Israel, where we find five distinct geographical &
climatic zones that change with such abruptness that in some places you can
literally stand on the line where one zone shifts to another.
To illustrate just how close the changes are, I remember one ski trip I took to
Mt Hermon where the snow was absolutely perfect powder. High up on the ski lift
with cold alpine air blowing on the clear crisp day, I could look down 9000
ft(2743m) into the Jordan Valley & the Sea of Galilee where bananas were growing
& holiday makers were water skiiing. I could also see straight across the entire
Galilee region of northern Israel & sourthern Lebanon, right to the shores of
the Mediterranean Sea.
What a magnificently blessed land! It may be small, but God truly made it the
"glory of all the lands."
There are some 3000 different species of plants in tiny Israel. This compares
remarkably with 1800 plant species in the British Isles,an area two & a half
times the size of Israel, or with the 1500 plant species in Egypt, an area ten
times the size of Israel & boasting one of the largest & most fertile areas in
the Middle East, the Nile Delta!
These are very strong emotions of God which tell us how much Israel means to
Him!
Exodus 4:22 “Israel is My son, My first born.”
2 Chro 6:6 “But now I have chosen Jerusalem for my Name to be there…”
The law of God will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem
(Isaiah 2:3) May the LORD bless you from Zion all the days of your life, may you
see the prosperity of Jerusalem. Ps 128:5
God’s deliverer would come into and out of Zion for the whole House of Israel
and ultimately for the world: “The redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob
who repent of their sins,” declares the LORD (Is 59:20) And so all Israel will
be saved, as it is written:”The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn
godlessness away from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them when I take away
their sins.” Rom 11:26-27 “And everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD will
be saved, for on Mount Zion & in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the
LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.” Joel 2:32
Isaiah says that the LORD would lay a foundation stone in Jerusalem, which Paul
confirms is Yeshua , the Messiah, whom the gentiles pursued & found: “So this is
what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, Iay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a
precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be
dismayed. (Is 28:16) “The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy… He
will be a stone that causes men to stumble & a rock that makes them fall. And
for the people of Jerusalem He will be a trap & a snare (Is 8:13-14) “See, I lay
a stone in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble & a rock that makes them fall
& the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.” (Rom 9:33)
Jeremiah gives physical proof of the surety of the covenant between the people &
the land, when he declares,"This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun
to shine by day, who decrees the moon & stars to shine by night, who stirs up
the sea who that its waves roar -the Lord Almighty is his name:"Only if these
ordinances vanish from my sight," declares the Lord, will the descendants of
ISrael ever cease to be a nation before me." Jer 31:35-36
Isaiah wrote God's feelings for Jerusalem: But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken
me, the LORD has forgotten me. Can a mother forget the baby at her breast & have
no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not
forget you! See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are
ever before Me" Is 49:14-16
The Psalmist declared boldly,"If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand
forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not
remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy." Ps 137:5-6
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I lived in Jerusalem for 2 months in 2000 and then 6 months in 2002.
That stay of 6 months was not planned by me, the LORD was the one who changed my
plan, as my return ticket was booked to fly one month later.
Few weeks before I left Israel, an 8 year-old Jewish girl was saved from being
killed in a bus-explosion as the LORD used me to talk to her which caused her to
miss her regular bus. She witnessed her regular bus exploded right in front of
the bus she took 5 minutes after that.
During my stay in Israel, there was one thing which I have never seen in my life
is I saw tropical fruit like banana, papaya, guava, pomegranate grown in the
same garden as apple, orange, grape, strawberry, pear, olive, fig! This is
Israel! Only place on earth that has this wonder!
Also Israel being mostly mountains & deserts, it exports roses to Holland &
Europe.
