Money gained for trip to Rome: $50.85
$50 mark: September 17th, 2006

The Motet Choir sang at Quigly School for the Physician's Guild Mass at 11:00 and then again at St. John Cantius for 12:30! *Whew!* I'm beat! I didn't get any lunch until 3:30! :'(
We did a really good job though, so I'm happy!  At St. John's the men sang their Mass, and at Quigly we sang a simple chant.  But we sang three motets: O Praise the Lord, Robert Parsons' Ave Maria, and Palestrina's Sicut Cervus.
After the Quigly Mass the Bishop mentioned that our choir was fundraiseing for Rome and that there would be a basket (aka cardboard box) available for donations.  After 12:300 Mass I heard Joe tell Br. Chad that we got $370! Not much, but it's something.  I won't be adding it to my Rome money count, because it was a group earning for the group, not me earning for me.

We sang at the 9:00 Mass. We sang the Mass in honor of the Holy Ghost, an Ave Maria (I can't remember who by), Praise ye the Lord, the men had a chant, but I dno't remember what else.

I am officially changing this to my Rome/Choir page, so I can talk about both. (Even though Rome
is choir...)

Rome News:
Br. Chad says he has the entire itinerary planned except for which hotel we'll stay at. The trip will be from April 9th-18th, 2008, and it will cost $2,000 per person.  Also, next weekend he'll have funraising information after choir.
~updated money count +$4.50~

Choir News: Well, this year Br. Chad is really cracking down on us, we have rules like if you miss practice you have to make it up, or if you forget your music you have to make it up, or if your late to practice etc... Always have a pencil, 2hrs. practice a week, no food (Like skittles! >.<) and we have a dress code: All Black.
The boys: Black pants, tie, shoes, and coat, with white shirt. Or Black pants and shirt.
The girls: Black dress or black skirt and blouse.  *ick*
I swear, when I went shopping for my uniform and I tried it on it was the first time I have ever worn an all black outfit.  It was rather....depressing.  But anyway! I got a button down 3/4 sleeve blouse, and an ankle length soft black skirt, it is soooo comfy! Which is weird, because it doesn't look like it would be soft, but it is.
Mom was thinking he might sway on the uniform and let the girls wear white, but he said today that we sing on Sunday in our uniforms. :(

On another note, we still have to wear all black for our dress-code. *ick*
