Chapter 1: On How Life Is...
Life is complicated. It took Davis Motomiya 16 years to figure this out. It only took him 13 years to decide that he didn't really like girls, 10 to decide that he hated school. In fact, by 15, he was pretty sure he had his life sorted out. But, of course, that would be far too simple.
"Motomiya!! What's up, dude?"
The redhead looked up from his sketchpad, both startled and annoyed, to see TK running in his direction.
"Y'know, I sit up here at luch to avoid human contact, TP," Davis growled as the blonde flopped down beside him.
"Don't worry- everyone still thinks you're a freak. They won't be coming up here to bother you," TK leaned over, looking at the sketch that Davis was working on. It was of a boy about their age, with chin length hair and soul piercing, almond shaped eyes, "Nice... Who is it?"
Davis looked up again, still irritated.
"You're still here?" After a moment, Davis sighed heavily, "His name's Ken... goes to Tamachi."
Nodding slightly, TK seemed entranced by the drawing.
"He's... gorgeous. Does he really look like that?" Davis pulled a photo out of the pages of his sketchbook and handed it to TK, "Wow... I mean... wow."
Davis raised one pierced eyebrow, "Thought you didn't like guys," he stated, returning to his drawing. TK bit his lip, thinking, apparently.
"I... I don't know," he traced over the redhead with his eyes, "We haven't spoken in nearly four years... maybe I've changed since then. I know you sure as hell have."
"I haven't changed a bit, TE. You're opinion of me might have, but not me,"
Detecting the icy undertone in Davis' voice, TK grew angry, "Goddamn it, Davis! I'm trying to be nice to you!!" The redhead snatched his photograph back from TK and slammed his sketchpad shut.
"Well, don't fucking bother, Takeru," TK cringed at the use of his full name, "I don't need anyone's fucking pity, especially not yours. Now, either you leave, or I do," Davis kept his voice low and his eyes narrowed.
"Jesus! What is your problem?" With that, Davis stood and started walking away,"Davis! Wait!!" The redhead raised a middle finger over his shoulderand continued down the hallway.
"Good one, Takaishi. Way to totally blow it..."

TK sat, staring out the window broodingly. A small, delicat hand gently slid around his body and across his chest, purposedly running recently manicured fingernails over one sensative nipple. Soft lips brushed against his ear, leaving the barest hint of espresso colored lipstick.
"Stop it," he growled, shrugging his 'attacker' away.
"Aww, what's the matter, Teeks? Did my baby have a bad day today?" A quiet female voice asked as another hand wandered across TK's chest.
"Goddamn it, Kari! Leave me the fuck alone!" The blonde scrambled away, scowling. "I already told you: It's over. Now go the fuck away!"
"Oh, come off it, Takeru," TK cringed again, just as he had with Davis earlier that day, "No matter what you say or who you go running to, we both know who's bed you'll wind up in, in the end," Kari sniffed arrogantly, "You know you'll always love me."
TK scoffed, "Love you?! Get over yourself, bitch! You're a good fuck, at best! You mean nothing more to me than an easy lay," his eyes grew cold and icey, "Face it, Kari, you're just a little slut."
Kari turned away quickly, hiding the tears that suddenly started to sting her eyes. TK couldn't possibly mean that, could he? He loved her... didn't he?
"Whatever. I know you'll be back. Just don't be surprised when I won't take you back," She walked away, not waiting for, nor wanting a reply. If she had stayed, TK might've seen the tears that now streaked her perfect face, and he might've realized that she coudln't survive without him. But far be it from her to let anyone know that she needed them, so she just kept walking, breaking down into mournful sobs as soon as she was out of sight.
"So, we see the 'inner beauty' that attracts everyone to the ever-so-charming Kari Kamiya," TK rolled his eyes and glanced over his shoulder just as Davis stepped out of the shadows.
"Spy much?" Davis couldn't help but smirk, at least a little.
"Hey, it's not my fault that you two decided to have the screaming contest of the century in the middle of the school..." The redhead gingerly seated himself beside his former friend, still sporting a signature 'Davis' grin, "Is she that great in bed? I mean, even I wouldn't put up with her, no matter how good the sex was."
"Oh, so now you'll talk to me? I swear, you are SO fucking weird..."
Davis shrugged, almost proudly, "I try... but really, is she that good?" TK gave Davis a look that said, simply 'What do you think?' and folded his arms over his chest, "Bet I'm better..."
TK choked, coughing violently, "Don't even fucking joke like that, Davis!!" The grin on Davis' face broadened as he slowly got up, to leave.
"Who's joking?" TK only stared as Davis began to walk away. The redhead took one last glance over his shoulder to add "Ja ne..."

Chapter 2: Sweet Dreams
"You sure you're going to be alright, sweetheart?" Ms. Takaishi gently pressed her palm to her son's forehead, "Oh, TK! You're burning up!!"
"I'll be fine, mom. Really, you can go," Biting her lip, Ms. Takaishi began to leave reluctantly.
"Ok, sweetie... I'll be back late, so don't wait up."
Once TK was sure that his mother was gone, he got up, slowly, and padded out to the kitchen. Carefully, he pulled the sharpest knife his mother owned out of a drawer.
"Shows you how bright my mom is," he mumbled as he returned to his room. He turned his stereo up, then stood in front of his mirror, staring into familiar, watering, blue eyes.
~*~
"Mr. Motomiya! Wait!"
Davis skidded to a stop, inches from the classroom door.
"Could you please bring these to Takeru?" The teacher handed Davis a stack of homework papers, without waiting for his reply, then shooed him out of the room.
"Yeah, that's just what I want to be doing with my Friday afternoon..." Davis continued down the hall, backpack slung over one shoulder, slamming into anyone that got in his way. Eventually, he made it out to the parking lot, bumping into one last person, his bag falling to the ground.
"Hey! Watch where you're-" Two sets of brown eyes met, and both teenagers took a step back as realization settled in. Davis grabbed his backpack hurriedly and began to walk away, when a small hand pressed against his chest.
"Kari, don't," he growled, shoving her hand away, "I'm not in the mood for your shit."
"Hmmm... Are you sure? I bet I could put you in the mood," Kari nuzzled up against Davis, tracing his cheek with one finger, "Come on. Just... one last time?"
Davis pulled away, eyes narrowed dangerously, "No, because we both know it won't be 'just' one last time," he hissed, keeping his voice low enough for only Kari to hear, "And what about TK? I thought you two got back together," Kari smirked, leaning up just enough to brush her lips against his.
"What TK doesn't know..." she whispered before dragging Davis out to her car, giggling happily.

"Sweet dreams are made of these,
Who am I to disagree?
Travel the world and the seven seas,
Everybody's looking for something."
Marylin Manson's words blasted over the speakers as TK's gaze drifted from the mirror before him, to the blade in his hand. He traced over the old scars on his wrist with the tip of the knife, leaving a trail of red in its wake. Tears ran down either cheek, accompanied by a soft sob.
"I hate my fucking life," he half growled, half whined, "Kari's probably fucking some random guy right now, anyway," he sliced his left wrist with one quick motion, "I hate that fucking bitch," With another quick cut, blood began to drip from TK's right wrist as well. He shakily set the knife down on his desk, then curled up on his bed, smiling a sickeningly content smile.
After a few minutes, TK's eyelids grew heavy and he slowly passed out.
"Some of them want to use you,
Some of them want to get used by you.
Some of them want to abuse you,
Some of them want to be abused..."

Davis sat up suddenly, tossing his covers aside. He got up quickly, snatching his boxers from the ground nearby.
"Dammit Kari! Why the fuck did I let you talk me into this?!" He pulled his boxers on, then began to search for the rest of his clothes, which were strewn about Kari's bedroom.
"Seemed, to me, like you enjoyed yourself..." she giggled, stretching beneath her sheets.
"I did... But I have shit to do, and no time for a pointless... Where the fuck are my jeans?!" Kari tossed Davis his jeans from their position at the foot of her bed, and he put them on as fast as possible, while he continued the search for his shirt.
"Right. I'm sure your life is just so eventful..."
Sending Kari a murderous glare, Davis growled deep in his throat, "Actually-" he began, finding and pulling on his t-shirt, "I'm on my way to TK's,"
Before Kari could respond, Davis was out the door, with his jacket under his arm, and his backpack slung over his shoulder, as usual, leaving Kari behind without a second thought.
~*~
Davis stood outside TK's apartment, waiting for someone to answer the doorbell. Eventually, he grew too impatient, and tried the doorknob, finding it unlocked.
"TK?" Davis let himself in, imediately hearing the music coming from TK's room, "Takaishi??" He slowly made his way down the hall, pushing TK's bedroom door open.
"T...K?" Davis saw the blonde on the bed, not noticing the blood-stained sheets until a moment later, "FUCK!"
