Taichi Kamiya looked at himself in the mirror. He slowly ran his hand
across the pleated material and smiled. "This is going to be great. Wait
until Matt sees this."
Just then Tai's little sister Kari came storming in the room. "Tai, Mom
wants to know if_" she stopped cold. "Tai! What the hell are you
doing?" a look of shock on her face.
"Kari, have you ever heard of knocking?" Tai screamed, slamming the
door shut and grabbing a blanket off the bed to cover himself up.
Kari stood staring at her older brother. Tai when did you start um, you
know?"
"No, I don't know," said Tai indignantly crossing his arms over his
chest. "What?"
"Cross dressing," Kari whispered.
"Oh please. I have never done it before. Matt made a stupid comment the
other night about me being feminine. If he wants girly I will give him
girly."
"That isn't one of mine is it?" asked Kari still spellbound, staring
at
her older brother.
"No, of course not. It would be too small. I got this from Sora, and
Mimi helped me modify it a bit."
"I'll say. But, what exactly is this supposed to prove?"
"Prove? Nothing really. This is just to put Matt in his place. He
thinks I am feminine now? Wait until he sees me in this outfit."
"So you are willing to dress up like a girl just because your boyfriend
said something stupid?"
"Sure, why not?" Tai shrugged his shoulders.
"So when are you going to show him your 'new look'?" Kari still looked
a little sceptical.
"Tomorrow after school," Tai went back to admiring himself in the
mirror.
"What are you going to do? Show up at his place like that?"
"No, I am meeting up with him out in front of the school."
"You aren't going to wear that in front of the whole school?" Kari
asked shocked.
Tai turned away from the mirror and looked at his sister. "Of course.
It will be funnier that way."
"But everyone will see you!"
"Yeah..."
"Tai! Do you want everyone to make fun of you? Besides Matt'll kill
you."
"Kari, I am not exactly popular. They pick on me now. I am used to it,"
Tai whispered. The mood of the conversation had drastically changed.
But after a brief moment of silence Tai piped up. "Don't worry Matt will
get over it." He smiled at his little sister who couldn't help but
smile back.
"Okay, so it doesn't bother you. But what about me?" Kari paused,
"If
you care for me at all Taichi Kamiya, you won't do this!"
"What? What are you on about? This has nothing to do with you."
"Yes it most certainly does! I do not want to be humiliated in front of
all my friends, Tai."
"Then don't watch."
"Tai!"
"Kids, it's time for supper!" Mrs. Kamiya called from the kitchen.
"Tell mom I will be there in a moment okay?"
Kari stalked out of the room grumbling to herself.
Tai took one last look at him self then started to change for dinner.

"Tai, phone's for you!"
"Thanks mom. I got it!" Tai called back. He picked up the phone next
to
his bed, "Hello?"
"Tai? It's Mimi."
"Hey Mimi. What's up?"
"Are you all set for tomorrow?"
"Oh yeah. It looks great. It is going to knock Matt on his ass."
He heard the pink haired girl giggling on the other end. "This is going
to be great. I will meet you right after school at your locker to help
you get ready."
"All right, sounds good. I'll see you tomorrow in class."
"Bye Tai!"
Tai just hung up the phone when it rang again.
"Hello, Tai speaking."
"Hey beautiful."
"Hi Matt."
"So, um...are you talking to me yet, or are you still mad at me?"
"Huh, I should be. But I guess not."
"I am sorry Tai. I didn't mean to insult you."
"It's okay Yami, I forgive you. This time," he couldn't help but laugh.
Matt laughed too. "So I will see you in homeroom tomorrow?"
"Yeah, I'll be there."
"Good. I love you Tai."
"I love you too Matt. Bye."
"Have a good night Angel."
Tai hung up the phone and sighed. He really did love his boyfriend with
all his heart, but this would be so much fun. Besides Matt did hurt his
feelings.
Still undecided Tai looked over to the uniform hanging in the open
closet. He got up and ran his hand along the soft fabric again. 'I do look
good in it. Maybe Matt will actually it?'
He yawned, stretching his arms up above his head. It was getting late
and he did have school tomorrow. Tai got ready for bed and climbed under
the cool crisp sheets. Soon he was fast asleep.

The bell rang signalling the end of the longest Geography class Matt
had ever had. As soon as he heard the piercing shriek of metal on metal
he slammed his textbook closed, stuffed it in his book bag and ran out
headed for the cafeteria.
"Lunch finally," panted Matt as he rounded the corner and waded into
the herd of students trying to get their food.
He looked around the crowded room not seeing who he was searching for.
He looked back toward the door and smiled. There was Tai just coming in
now. Matt doubled back and came up behind the smaller boy putting his
arms around him. Tai jumped.
"Oh Matt, you scared the crap out of me."
Matt leaned in close, "Were you expecting somebody else?"
"No silly. You just startled me is all," Tai leaned back into Matt's
embrace. Had this been a few months ago Tai wouldn't ever dare show
affection for Matt at school. But now most people knew. He had heard all the
rumours. And he just didn't care anymore. Neither did Matt. But at the
moment his stomach took precedence over all else.
Matt disentangled himself from around Tai and grabbed a tray. "Sorry
babe, but I am starved." He proceeded to fill up the piece of bright
orange plastic with as much food as he could carry.
Tai just watched in awe, but as yet hadn't gotten anything for lunch.
Matt turned back when he noticed his boyfriend wasn't following.
"Come on Tai. I have enough for both of us."
Tai smiled. "I'll say. Are you feeding an army?"
"Ha ha, very funny. Let's go find the others."
The two boys made their way through the crowd searching for their
friends until they heard...
"Matt! Tai! Over here!"
"Hey it's Mimi."
Matt and Tai went over to where they saw their friend, to find everyone
else already there eating.
"Wow, it's a mad house here today!" exclaimed Koushiro munching on

sandwich.
"It always is on Sloppy Joe day," said Sora laughing.
Matt placed the heavily ladened tray on the table and divided the food.
Tai grabbed some French fries off the tray and shoved them in his
mouth.
"Tai! Get out!" admonished Matt.
"Well hurry up Matt, I am starving," whined Tai.
"Okay here," Matt handed over a paper plate with a Sloppy Joe on
it.
"Start with that."
Tai grinned and took a big bite. Everyone else laughed.
"So what are everyone's plans for this afternoon?" asked Izzy.
"Well, I am going over to Matt's place and T.K. and Daisuke are going
with Kari to my place," said Tai around a mouthful of food.
"Where are the younger siblings anyways?" asked Joe taking a swig
of
his soda.
"Now that they are in high school they don't want to be seen with their
older brothers. Especially when we act all lovey-dovey," Matt leaned
over and placed a kiss on Tai's lips.
"Come on you guys, get a room!" shouted Sora.
Again laughter came from their table. Then Tai spoke up, putting his
plan into action.
"Yami? Where are we going to meet after school?"
"Hmmm, I am going to wait for the boys and then we pass by the court
yard, so why don't we all meet out there?"
"Sound good to me," Tai smiled. 'Perfect,' the brunette thought to
himself.

As Tai was stuffing homework in his book bag Kari came up to his
locker.
"Tai please don't do this. Not out in public. I beg you."
"Relax Kari, it will be funny."
"No it won't Tai. My God, you embarrass me all the time as it is."
Tai rolled his eyes. "You can just go ahead home you know."
Just then a pink blur came running down the hall. "Tai!"
"Tai winked at his little sister. "Gotta go. Bye."
"Are you ready Tai?" asked Mimi.
"Sure. I have everything here." Tai had a dress bag slug over his

"All right. Come with me."
Mimi started leading Tai to the girl's bathroom.
"Whoa. I can't go in there. That's the girls' room."
"Very good genius. Are you going to get changed right here in the hall
way?"

"Right. So let's go. I'll make sure the coast is clear."
Mimi disappeared through the door marked GIRLS and reappeared moments
later.
"Okay, let's go!" she dragged Tai into the small room.
"So this is what it looks like in here. I always wondered," said
Tai
locking himself in a stall.
"Hurry up Tai. Matt is probably waiting!" scolded Mimi, trying to
peek
through the door.
"Hey! Stop it! I'll be out in a minute."
And true to his word Tai Kamiya exited the metal cubicle, looking
nothing like Tai Kamiya.
"Oh. My. God," said Mimi. At that moment she couldn't come up with
anything else more intelligent to say. "Tai, you look...amazing."
"You think Matt will like it?"
"Unless he has lost the ability to see in the last few hours."
Tai blushed, and then noticed a small bag in his friend's hand. "What's
that?"
"Make-up of course."
"No way Mimi. The outfit is one thing, but no make-up."
"Tai, you are standing in the girl's washroom, dressed as a girl. A
little lipstick won't hurt you. Besides it will bring out the colour in
your eyes."
"Mimi, I don't know__"
"Don't worry about a thing. You'll be beautiful."

"I wonder where Tai and Kari are?" asked T.K.
"You know Tai. He's never on time. And if he had detention Kari would
tell us. They'll be along." Even as he said the words Matt looked around
trying to spot his boyfriend.
Just then they heard voices coming from around the bushes.
"...your coat back on."
"No! Go away!"
"Don't make me beg Tai!"
"Kari, I don't know why you think this is such a big deal?"
"Hey," whispered Daisuke already on his knees peering around the
foliage. "I think Tai and Kari are fighting."
"Then it is none of your business. Get back here," said Matt.
In response Davis gasped out. He looked back at the brothers, "You
really should come see this."
T.K. got on his knees beside Daisuke, and Matt crouched down behind
them. The three boys peeked through the leaves and stopped dead cold.
There stood Tai dressed only in a girl's school uniform.
The sailor-type green and white blouse was cut off at mid-driff and
Tai's flat smooth stomach and navel could be seen below the hem of the
silky material. The soft pleated skirt was sitting low on the brunette's

Mimi looked around and sure enough a small group of students had

Mimi helped Kari up off the ground. "Let's go catch up to your brother

to

Once they got to the street it was time to part ways, Mimi heading off

With some difficulty Kari managed to gather up T.K. and Daisuke and
drag them off toward her apartment building. This left Matt and Tai alone.

here on the street."
The couple walked in silence to Matt's place. Matt couldn't help but
steal little glances at Tai. He couldn't believe how much that outfit

the blonde. As soon as they entered and closed the door Matt grabbed Tai

"Yep I asked them last night."
"Good," he grabbed a pair of jeans out of his dresser and threw them
at
Tai's head. "Get dressed and I suppose I'll feed you. I can't let you
whither away to nothing now can I?"

The two boys finished getting dressed and headed out of the apartment
in search of food.
As they were heading into the elevator Matt's neighbour heard the
