Chapter 4
It was 4:00 am in the Satan City Airport. The sun was rising and
filled the airport with colorful beams of light. Everyone was
there except for the Sons. Vegita leaned against the wall with
his arms crossed and glanced at the airport clock.
"Where the hell is Kakarrot?! Were leaving in 20 minutes. I
should have known that all time dimwit would sleep in on times
like these." Vegita grumbled.
"Don't worry, he'll come he always does." Bulma said
while yawning.
"Humph, I don't know why you even bothered to invite him.
He'll just hold us back."
Bulma was too tired to argue. She rested her head on the arm of
the chair, attempting to go back to sleep. Everyone else followed
the same stance, but Vegita and Piccolo. Piccolo meditated by the
large fountain. His mind was filled with atrocious visions.
~{ Piccolo was alone in a dark place. He didn't know where.
Where am I?' he thought to himself.
"Piccolo!!" A voice that sounded similiar to Shiba came
from behind. Before he could react someone pushed him, causing
him to fall. A flash of light hit the person. The person screamed
out in pain as the light continued to shine on her. When the
light disappeared, the person collapsed to the ground. Piccolo
ran to the person. His eyes widened in shock, his heartbeat sped.
It was Shiba.
'She saved me' Piccolo held Shiba in his arms.
"Shiba! Shiba!" She slowly opened her eyes and smiled
at her husband with sorrow.
"Pi . . .Pic . . colo." Piccolo held Shiba closer and
tighter as he spoke.
"You idiot! Why did you--"
"I . . couldn't bear to see you . . . die again."
"Shiba . . ." Shiba slowly faide away in Piccolo's
arms. leaving him alone again.
"Shiba No!!" Piccolo clentched his fist. He was too
angry to think. All he wanted was his wife back and have revenge.
Then an evil laugh caused him to turn. There was a large figure
in front of him. It was too dark to make out who it was. It spoke
in an evil voice,
"Your all alone now Piccolo. No one is left. Come join them
Piccolo,
come join them in darkness forever. Forever . . . forever . .
..forever . . ." the voice slowly faded away, as did the
figure.}~
Piccolo woke up when the announcement for their departure came
on. He breathed heavily, trying to calm his heart. It was then
when the Son's family came rushing through the door. They quickly
caught up to the rest of the gang.
"Why so late Goku?" Shiba asked.
"I . . a . . . kinda slept in . ." Goku replied
sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head with
one hand.
"Just what I thought!" Vegita growled and walked to the
gate. It took them awhile to get past the gate because the
weighted clothes most of them were wearing got affected. They
finally got boarded the large plane to Hawaii. Everyone sat by
their loved ones. Shiba made a little yawn before resting her
head on Piccolo's chest. It wasn't long until she fell into a
deep sleep.
Piccolo looked down at her, sleeping silently. He was thankful
that the fact that Shiba was gone was just a dream. He put his
arm around her shoulder and looked out the window. The sun was
rising into the pink sky. It wasn't long till the plane began to
take off.

When they arrived at the Hawaiian airport, a man who worked at
the Aloha Paradise Hotel' came to greet them. He leaded
them outside to his taxi van, where they loaded the bags.
Everyone, except for Vegita and Piccolo, peered out the van's
window in amazement and talked with the driver. They arrived at
the Hotel they were to stay at. It was so big it could've been
mistaken as a skyscraper. Inside was lavishly decorated with
elegant paintings, fruits, pottery and flowers. It was very wide
and open. They stared in awe as they walked to the main desk
area. Bulma got the keys to everyone's room. Goku &
Chichi-33*3300, Ami & Videl-60*6010, Bulma &
Vegita-33*3309,Piccolo & Shiba-50*5007 and Hiroshi &
Gohan-65*6501. The gang walked to the elevator, it was able to
fit 15 people so there was still a lot of room. Goku looked over
Bulma's shoulder to look at her room number on the key,
"Hey, you guys are on the same floor as us." Goku said
smiling. But Vegita's frown just grew deeper and his eyes
narrowed agitated at the thought.
"Yeah, sorry I couldn't get everyone a room close to each
other. This place has been so busy since it's a summer
holiday." Bulma replied, before anyone could talk, the
elevator stopped at floor #33. Chichi stopped Bulma from getting
out by pulling on her shirt,
"What about our bags!! We forgot about them!!" Chichi
panicked, Bulma released her shirt from Chichi's grip and held
her hand.
"It's OK the bellboy will bring them to our rooms."
Bulma assured her in a calm voice, but Chichi was still worried.
"But--" Bulma pulled Chichi out the elevator before she
could say anything and the door closed. The remaining people
stared at the door for a while and they soon began to laugh. All
except for Piccolo who kept a straight face for the whole time.
"No offence Gohan," Hiroshi stopped to calm down,
"but if your mom stayed any longer, she would've made a
lecture of who knows what and how long." Gohan stopped to
calm down too,
"Yeah, my guess is either my education or the luggage she
was so worried about."
"Or," Videl joined in, "our safety."
"Yup." Gohan agreed.
"Hey Gohan, is your mom still scared of Piccolo-san?"
Ami asked
"Yes." Gohan, Hiroshi, Shiba and Piccolo himself
answered at the same time.
"Well," Gohan scratched his head. "She's not that
scared of him anymore. I mean she knows for a fact that he won't
hurt me or anyone I care for. She's just, well, umm . . .I dunno!
Someone wanna support me?"
"Sorry bud, no can do." Hiroshi said waving his hands.
"Um, are you O.K. with this conversation Piccolo-san?"
Gohan asked his mentor. Piccolo crossed his arms,
"I couldn't care less"
'I like it when people are scared of me.' Piccolo thought. The
elevator stopped at floor #55, Piccolo and Shiba stepped out of
the elevator and said a good-bye to the four teenagers as the
door closed.

Piccolo and Shiba entered their room, Shiba looked around the
room in amazement. She couldn't believe how big their room was,
it was almost the same width as their first floor of their house.
In front of them was what looked like the living room with the
two large couches and a big screen T.V. and the balcony just
ahead. They walked inside, Piccolo headed towards the balcony
while Shiba explored the room. Piccolo stared out into the
horizon of the ocean, the
voice he heard during his meditation in the airport was still
echoing in his head
~"You're all alone . . . in darkness . . . forever . .
."~
What's this suppose to mean? It doesn't make any sense!' he
thought hard, but he soon ignored the voice and concentrated on
the horizon. There was a knock on the door.
"Room Service.!" A male voice came out. Piccolo frowned
and continued to look into the horizon and waited for Shiba to
answer the door. Sure enough Shiba opened the door and helped the
bellboy carry the luggage inside. As the bellboy left the phone
began to ring. Piccolo saw that his wife was busy with their bags
so he walked into the bedroom and picked up the phone. A female
voice came from the other end of the phone.
[Hello? Shiba?]
"What do you want?" Piccolo asked coldly.
[Oh, a Piccolo this is Bulma . . . I . . . a . . . umm
. . . wanted to--]
"I don't have all day human!!"
[Sorry, umm everyone's going out for dinner and to a beach
festival later on. So we'll meet at the hotel main in 20 minutes
or so. Kay? . . . Hello?]
"Click. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep."
[Hello? . . . Anyone there? . . . Ya happy summer holidays to you
too!!! Click.]
"Who was it?" Shiba asked while carrying the last
suitcase into their bedroom. Piccolo walked toward the balcony
and stopped at the entrance.
"It was that blue-haired chatterbox. She wants us to meet
them at the hotel main in 20 minutes. We're going out for dinner
and to a beach party or something later." With that he began
his meditation. Shiba watched him slowly float in mid air, but
quickly turned her attention to the pile of clothes in her
suitcase. She pulled out a Roxy jean short and a navy blue
tank-top and made her way to the bathroom to take a shower.
Piccolo saw the same visions repeatedly, the next
even worse than before. They wouldn't leave him alone and it was
driving him crazy. He wanted answers.
