Palindromic Madness!!!! |
"What is a palindrome?", you may ask. Well, if you don't know about them already, you've been missing a really cool literary function-type thingy (I'm not really sure what to call it). So, basically, a palindrome is a word, number, or phrase whose letters/numbers read the same forwards and backwords. Some of the most famous examples are a)Napolean's supposed statement: Able was I ere I saw Elba. b) Numerically, this year is one of the rare palindromic years: 2002 c) Some single words are the same forward and backwards; these are some everyday examples: mom dad pop did diefied The following is a list of some of my personal favorite palindromes. |

Kayak salad, Alaska yak. Satan, oscillate my metallic sonatas! Dammit, I'm mad! Harasoo, Sarah. Rat star. Flee to me, remote elf. Mr.Owl ate my metal worm. Camus sees sumac. UFO tofu. Dairy myriad. Senile felines. Do geese see god? Yo! Bottoms up: US motto, boy. Evil I did dwell, lewd I did live. Radar Lonely Tylenol. Age, irony, Noriega. Tuna nut. Drab as a fool, aloof as a bard. Solo gigolos. Go hang a salami, I'm a lasanga hog Yo! Banana boy! Never odd or even. Dogma? I am god. Evil olive! Madam, I'm Adam. He did, eh? A man, a plan, a canal, Panama. Nog eroded Oregon. Harass sensuousness, Sarah. Rise to vote, sir. Dumb mud. On a clover: if alive, erupts a vast, pure evil; a fire volcano.
