| Teluk Sari is a popular site for astronomers, astrophotographers and stargazers. It has a full view of unobstructed skies from North, South, East and West in an open area the size of 8 football fields with almost zero light pollution. It is not surprising that the skies over Teluk Sari has been favourably compared to the open skies of Hawaii. This natural observation site is the area between Penyabong and Tanjung Resang. Sari-Mawar Chalets & Camping Site is located right in the middle of the observation site. The site is reported to have the brightest view of the Milky Way, and the best view of the August 1998 Annular Eclipse of the Sun. It is probably the clearest window to the universe. |
