We’ve shared laughs after singing in the rain,
We’ve shared cries after feeling great pain.
We’ve shared the feeling of relationships’ end
And then we shared the promise to all remain the best of friends
And then I find myself sharing a hug to seal our goodbye
once again we share that cry
We share a slight smile as another tear falls
I can not believe we’ve broken the most important promise of all
How this can be, I am not sure,
For our promise had always stayed pure.
I tilt my head to see your face,
And in it I see once again the pain we shared as little girls,
The pain of despair and relationships end,
You whisper in my ear, I will miss you, dear friend.
You’re flight is called, as you wipe your tears,
I think of all our memories throughout the years,
You shoot me a quick smile and you turn to go,
I cannot think, I can’t determine why I am letting you go,
But you disappear out of my sight.
So I leave this place of sadness and walk into the night
I call a taxi to take me away
take me somewhere where there’s hope for a brighter day
But I cannot leave the sorrow my heart aches again
