| Do You Remember... | ||||||
| So we may have jumped forward a bit cuase the year is 87, and my family and I are now residents in Ottawa, Ontario. My second sister is about to be born. and when she does it will create a distraction for Nicole and myself to do whatever we want. Now in Ottawa, our house was built in a manner that had a large open fild and walk way that was surroundt was surrounded by four lines of houses. Our neighbors were really nice and they had a parrot. It was the sweetest, but then again, so are alot of pets that can talk when you are only like 3 or 4. The nieghborhood itself was very simple and had a large fenced off area that had a train track on the opposite side. So who cares about description? Let's get into the storeis and stuff. So anyways, where should I start right now?Oh I know a good one. My grandma back at that time used to live in the sweetest place in the world, Peterborough. Now I say it's the best place inthe world because it's like the single most place where I have the most happiest memories and like almost no sad or angry memories. But one memory ws when my sister, auntie and myself were out to the little happymart type place and then we heard a crack of thounder and were like it's going to rain we better head back home. Now it is important to note that we were walking; there was no car. So we start walking and we realize that we feel water falling on us so we run to the nearest trees and we are like covered by the trees but we are still getting soaked and we can't wait for the rain to give up or our parents were going to start worrying. So we head out and get massively drentched. I remember singing songs like, "Singing in the Rain" and "It's Raining". When we got home my mom just grabbed tons of towels and tried to contain the water. Back to Ottawa (yup you got to love the transition I just used) there was a time when I was in the open area behind my house and was heading towards some kids that were just hanging around on those grey power boxes. Well I asked if I could play with them and the said I couldn't. I'm not really sure what the reasoning was but I remember running back to my house and being the climber I was I jumped the wood fence but I slipped and landed ont he fence wrong and my dad turned around cause he was BBQing and my mom came running outside. Now cause I fell on the fence I had like cut myself, and Istill have the mark on my chest. Well my parents thought I was upset cause of the fence, I never told them the real reason. Regardless, because of that incident I have this thing that I can't have people hate me so I will do anything to make people happy and I am just too nice to people. It might even be the reason I'm a hopeless romantic. New story!!! So this one has a winter background and my sister and I are on top of a snowmound from the road graters. Now the snow was pushed up against the snowbank and at the top of the bank was that large fence. So anyways my sister and I are at the top and two other kids come and try to take over our hill. My elder sister and I then tried everything to keep them at the bottom. This was a game of capture the hill, andso we rolled large pieces of snow down on them haha. Regardless we won. A true victory. My next story I'm not really sure of the season. I guess that's hardly an important part. Anyways, Nicole and I had found a hole in the large fence and decided lets go on a trip so we followed the track a long ways. Hmm I guess you could say we were going to run away from home. Well when supper came and went and we still weren't home my mom got angry, and worried of course. It was late when my sister and I finally returned. I guess we forget that when you run away you don't have a mom that will provide you food so we had to. Well let's also say that when you run away you shouldn't really come back and expect food either cause we never got any. But then we were probably really lucky because I don't exactly remember my mom yelling at us either. I remember one time we were in the house and it was pouring like crazy and the power went out and the only light we had were cnadles and some brief moments of brilliance when the lightning struck. I still love violent weather to this day. I remember the exact day we moved out of that Ottawa home and I ran to the basment which was only a few steps and all my toys were packed up and my mom grabbed me and said it was time to go. Well the transition home we had wasn't much of anything, and I remember finding a football in it and apparently there was some gum (or somethign else) behind the tv set and I wanted it. Well the story goes I went to get it and totally toppled the TV over and it just missed landing on my younger sister Christina. How can I be so unlucky, haha just kidding. Well these are I believe my most memorable, or at least most intersting memories. Let our journey continue. |
