| So we are traveling quickly in time to the year 1990. Reasoning is that this is the year I started my first class of kindergarten. Oh how I remember that I do believe I got a ride the first day and I really wish I had worn some better looking clothing. But really how was I supposed to know that I was going to be having my picture taken and be on the front page of the Edmonton Journal with my sister's bestfriend? Clearly, if you have seen the pictures, you'll know I had no idea at all. Well kindergarten was part of my most important years in life. I mean I met all my good friends whom I am still great friends with today. Oh man, it is actually crazy that we are still friends. Most of them did some sort of preschool together too so like really, wow, that's true friendships. Perhaps I should describe myself at this age. I was a runt. Plain and simple, I even have proof. My best friend's mom will verify. But other then that I was a freak for the Ninja Turtles. Honestly I think I still am but the new series isn't nearly as good as the original series were so I hardly watch them anymore unless I happen to be online. I mean I used to plan to be on now it's just only if it's a coincidence. So kindergarten was one of my hardest school years. it's hard to believe. The main problem was the fact that I was partially deaf. Once more we have a situation where the doctors don't think I am but my mom was able to convince otherwise. His reasoning that I wasn't deaf was that I could respond to things he said correctly. The problem was that I developed the ability to lip read. My mom to prove her point sat me on a chair in front of a tv and then yelled my name and no response was observed. From that time I then had surgery three times on my ears to improve my hearing, and it worked. I also had ear aches several times in these early years. So kindergarten must be the most slack year of schooling anyone can take. I mean grade 12 can be debateable but in grade 12 you have diplomas so... I remember making a kite, singing twinkle twinkle little star (and messing up on it), being on a hospital stretcher, and going to the farm. In fact when I went to the farm I was in bed for 3 days and I was having breathing problems and my ears were glued shut cause of that eye slim. Apparently my body decided that field trip that I was allergic to dust mites... and I had a huge reaction on the way home and the days to follow. I've never had the problem again though. I'm happy about that. So kindergartenwas definently a slack ass year, but it was also a very fun filled year too. I wish everyday was Kindergarten. |
