I. My mind is crowded with fever dreams
as dark chills wrack my body
and as I lay curled in blankets
in my confusion I call out for you.
II. Hallucinations envelope me
as pain roots deep in my brain
and I think you are here
       gently stroking my hair
and soothing troubled dreams to rest
Delusions I-III

These were written after I was very sick earlier this fall with pneumonia.  I was running a temperature of 102, and couldn't move.  As I started to get better, I was beset by some of the worst migraine attacks I have ever had.  These are taken from what little I can remember, and accounts given to me by other people.  Needless to say, my grasp on reality was tenuous at best.....
III.   I feel cool hands against my head
worried whispers thunder in my ears
tossing and whimpering, soothing arms enfold me.
The fire in my head confuses fact and memory
causing me to cry out for you
believing that it is your arms holding me close.
