I swear I�ll bring her back safely.� ~ ~ ~ Katherine was still trying to answer any questions the children had and tried to reassure them that everything would be fine. Matthew and Colleen were trying to be optimistic for Brian, but deep down they were really worried. Brian, being the innocent child he was open about his emotions. �Is Dr. Mike going to die?� �What?� Katherine asked as she sat him on her lap. �Is Dr. Mike going to die?� Brian repeated. �Our real ma died, and I don�t want her to die.� �Oh Brian, she�s not going to die. Sully will find her.� Katherine looked down at Brian and saw a tear escape his eyes. �Don�t cry my dear boy.� She wiped the tears away and hugged Brian then she called Colleen and Matthew over to her so she could hug all three of them. As soon as Colleen and Matthew were in Katherine�s embrace their tears began to flow freely. The same cave that he had taken Michaela to. He prayed that his intuition was right and that William would be stupid enough to go there. When they arrived sure enough they saw William. They moved closer to the entrance of the cave and that�s when they caught the first glimpse of the gun. Then they agreed to meet at the police station. Sully had a good idea of where William would take Michaela, he just hoped his instincts were right. He met the sheriff outside and they waited for Hank to arrive. Once Hank had arrived Sully told the sheriff where they should start looking. Sully looked over at the other two men and motioned for all three of them to attack William at the same time. He counted to three by holding up his fingers and then all three men jumped William. Michaela took the opportunity and ran out of the cave, but not soon after a gunshot was heard. She turned around and saw all of the men on the ground. |
