Michaela was finally dressed and Dorothy was finishing lacing her dress when her mother walked in with the bouquets. This was the first time Michaela had seen them. She had told her mother she wanted roses so she wasn�t surprised to see her mother had followed her request. Being that the wedding was taking place on Valentine�s Day, Elizabeth chose pink roses for the bridesmaid�s bouquet and white roses for Michaela�s. Since Dorothy was the maid of honor her bouquet was made out of both pink and white roses. �Oh mother they�re beautiful� Elizabeth hugged her daughter, and when she pulled back she asked, �Are you ready?� �I think so.� �I have my something blue, something borrowed, but I need something new.� �Don�t worry about that Michaela.� Canice said. �Anne, Ashley, Dawn and I got together and bought you this.� She handed Michaela a white pearl bracelet. �Oh it�s beautiful. I don�t know what to say. Thank you so much.� �So are you ready yet?� �More than ever.� Michaela followed her bridal party out of the room and began to feel butterflies in her stomach again. She saw her father waiting for her at the entrance and he was beaming. Inside the church was lit only by candlelight and there was decorated by pink and white roses. It wasn�t a big wedding only close friends and family attended. The music began to play and the bridesmaids made their way to the altar. Colleen was so excited, she couldn�t wait to show off her pretty dress, and Brian couldn�t wait to make his way to Sully. Once the children began to walk down the aisle Michaela took a deep breath and Josef hooked her arm around his. �You look breathtaking� he whispered. Michaela smiled and squeezed her father�s arm. They started walking down the aisle and Michaela locked eyes with Sully. He looked so handsome in his tuxedo, and he was grinning from ear to ear. Sully saw Michaela begin to walk down the isle and his breath caught. She looked so magnificent. �How in the world did I get this lucky?� he wondered. She was glowing, he had never seen her look this beautiful before. With each step that she got closer his heart pounded faster. To Michaela it seemed that she had been walking down the aisle forever until she finally reached the altar. Sully took her by the hand and led her to where the reverend was. Josef stepped away as the reverend asked, �Who here gives this woman away to this man?� �Her mother and I do.� The reverend started the ceremony and when it came time to say the vows he looked at the guests and said, �On this special day Sully and Michaela have decided to share their own vows.� Sully was the first to go. He took Michaela�s hand and looked her in the eyes, and started to recite his vows. �I knew from the moment I met you That there was something special behind your eyes Telling me to hold onto your comfort In a world full of cruelty and lies� And I knew that very moment Being with you was a matter of destiny So much chemistry, spark and connection Discovering a love of such intensity� Can�t imagine life without your presence You�re my light and my love who Give me my drive and are behind all my dreams These things in life I want to do all of them with you� All the time I get to spend with you Each and every single precious day Brings me such ecstatic happiness Like I have never got to feel this way� I would never trade one of those moments For all the riches the world can give Over time you have consumed my heart You�ve become my reason to live� I guess it comes down to the small things And the little thing you and I do That can make the love grow stronger each day I want to wake up every morning with you� Continue |
