| The rest of the day seemed to drag on for Michaela. It was a slow day, and all she had done was work on patient files. It also didnt help that on days like these she was constantly thinking of Sully. The more she thought of Sully, the more she thought of the wedding, and the more she thought of the wedding the more she thought of the wedding night. She found herself blushing every time she thought of it. She got excited when she thought about it, but at the same time she was scared. She had heard so many horror stories from her friends and she didnt know exactly what to expect. Then Sullys words echoed through her head Trust me. ~~~ Michaela, Sully, Charlotte and the kids were having supper getting to know each other. Charlotte had three beautiful children Matthew who was 11 and liked to think he was the man of the house since his father Ethan died in a terrible plane crash after Brian was born. Colleen was 8 years old and was at that age where she was between childhood and adolescence. Brian was the youngest of the three and was full of life. He immediately took a liking to Sully, and never left his side for the rest of the evening. Charlotte kept apologizing for Brians behavior, but Sully didnt mind. Truth was he was flattered and touched. They were having so much fun that Michaela had almost forgotten why shed asked Charlotte to join them for dinner. Colleen, Brian I have something Id like to ask you. Both Colleen and Brian focused their attention on Michaela. Sully and I are getting married in about two weeks and I would like it very much if you would take part in it. What would we do? Well Colleen, you would be my flower girl, and Brian would be my ring bearer. Whats a ring bearer? Brian asked as he climbed onto Charlottes lap. Well, its where you carry the rings that are going to be used in the wedding ceremony on a small pillow. Oh Does that mean I get to wear a pretty dress? Yes, youll get to wear a beautiful lavender dress. Oh that sounds like fun! How about you Brian? Would you like to be the ring bearer? Matthew, we would also like for you to be one of the ushers. Matthew looked at his mother to get her approval and when Charlotte nodded her head he accepted. On the drive home Michaela and Sully couldnt stop talking about how wonderful the children had been. They sure are great kids. Sully said. Yes they are, and it appears that you have gained an admirer. Sully smiled at her words. You were so great with him. She continued. Sully and Michaela spent more time with the children during the following days. Michaela and Colleen got to know each other more as they went to get her dress altered. Sully also spent some alone time with Matthew and Brian as they went to get their tuxedos. There were times when they were all together that other people made comments on what a lovely family they were. Charlotte had also noticed. In a short time the children had grown fond of both Michaela and Sully. Especially Brian. He couldnt stop talking about Sully and how he wanted to be like him when he grew up. Matthew had also grown fond of Sully because he took his opinions seriously, and didnt treat him like a child. Colleen admired Michaela because she was sure of herself and carried herself with confidence. Something she hoped she could achieve some day. The day before the wedding had finally arrived and it was time for the rehearsal. Michaela was glowing. She couldnt believe that in less than 24 hours she would be married. She glanced at Sully and noticed that he hadnt stopped smiling all evening. They managed to get through the rehearsal without any problems. The rehearsal dinner was full of laughter and excitement with most of the laughter coming from Anne, Ashley, Canice and Dawn. |
