We had a really short meeting, we started with a prayer from dailyblessings.com about letting your sorrows go and cherishing your blessings.
Next we took a look at the preliminary web page that was set up, it is now on the web at www.geocities.com/saratogayouthdeanery/, here's a link for you all Saratoga Youth Deanery Homepage
We sent an animated card to Erik LaChance from Our Lady of Grace church because he had had surgery on his ankle early that morning.
Then we talked more about our overnight, pyramid lake was only available this past weekend, our other possibilities for this are Silver Bay, Our Lady of Grace Church, or the YMCA. If we still want to go to Pyramid Lake we could make a reservation in March. The people from Immaculate Conception Church and Our Lady of Grace Church are going to talk to Maureen Smith and Ruth Moon about chaperoning.
Next we talked about our Battle of the Bands. We decided to figure out a date and then ask the bands. We were thinking maybe March 31st, we are going to check with St. Clements about this.
Lastly we talked about our Youth Rally we are going to have a theme of friendship. We're going to split into groups of two for the workshops, the workshops we were thinking about so far were Masks, and Music, There is also a group of kids that are in a group called SKIT which is an improvisational group dealing with current issues in teens lives, I've talked to them and they are interested in performing at our Rally.
Our next Meeting is going to be February 15th at 7pm, it's going to be a Valentine's Day party, everyone is asked to bring two dollars, one for candy and one for pizza. Everyone is also asked to bring new people.
