Season 5 Episode Description
*5.01 and 5.02: A Witch's Tail, parts 1 and 2
       With the news of Piper's baby at hand, and demon attacks at a low, Piper and Leo use their time to rebuild Piper's closet and turn it into a nursery for their "daughter"(quotes since their are too many rumors about the baby's sex), while Phoebe is ecstatic about her new bilboards that have gone up around town, but is still upset when her divorce from Cole is nulled after he returns. Paige, meanwhile, is promoted to social worker, which leaves her in a tight spot when a mermaid seeks out Phoebe for help. The mermaid, Mylie (as played by Jaime Pressly), is on the run from the Sea Hag (Diane Salinger) who seeks her immortality as payment to a skeletal being, Necron. She had thirty days to find love or she had to give up her immortality, and she thought she had found it, but her beau has yet to tell her that he loves her. The girls attempt to find the Sea Hag in order to save Mylie after Piper lets her be taken when she panics in fear for her child. The spell to find the Hag backfires, turning Phoebe into a mermaid herself. Once in the water, Phoebe is able to sense the Hag, and there they find Mylie, near death and with the Sea Hag obliterated by Necron. Piper, panicking again, pulls away from Leo and Paige as they orb to Phoebe and Mylie. Once they find her dying, and Leo cannot heal her, he orbs Mylie's love into the cave where they are hidden and there he professes his love for her. She is made human, and Leo saves her in time. Phoebe, hearing the call of the sea, refuses to come home as she feels at home, alone, in the sea. Leo and Paige return home without Phoebe, and Piper feels guilty for allowing her sister to become a mermaid. She focuses her energy on finding a reversal spell, while Paige tried to learn all she can about mermaids before she is fired. Cole, trying to prove that he is good, helps her with a case at her work, and she tells him that it's not worth it, that Phoebe doesn't love him anymore.

*5.03: Happily Ever After
      Soon after cursing a being named Osgood into a mirror, the evil witch who escaped the mirror asks who the most powerful witch is. When the mirror answers that the Charmed Ones are the most powerful, she becomes angry and sets out to destroy them using fairy tales as their demise. Paige becomes Snow White and dies eating a poisoned apple, Phoebe becomes Cinderella, and immediately blames Cole, since he knows it's her favorite. She goes to a ball with Adam Prinze (played by Sean Patrick Flannery) who has been cursed by the witch and eventually tries to have Phoebe killed. Piper is joined by Grams, who comes to help her out with the baby, and later becomes the big bad wolf to Piper's Red Riding Hood. Piper proves herself in this episode by blowing up the wolf from the inside, and then vanquishing the evil witch, thereby freeing Phoebe from inside a pumpkin, waking Paige from her "sleep", and freeing Adam from his curse.

*5.04: Siren's Song
      A demonic temptress hunts the streets of San Francisco with an unusual MO: she sings for the husbands of women, then kills them by searing away their lungs with a kiss, after which she kills the wives. Piper's powers go wonky when her half pacifist baby turns her molecular acceleration into things like fireworks and flowers. Piper and Leo's powers are switched by their unborn child when the two of them don't understand the difficulties of each other's lives. They must work with each other's powers to vanquish the Siren, while getting a little glimpse at what the other is going through. Also, Cole finds out that Piper is pregnant, Cole nearly kills Phoebe while his under the Siren's spell, his demonic half taking over where his mortal half should have died.

*5.05: Magic Wears a Mask
       When a demon coerces a boy into turning him into an evil comic book character so he can steal an Elder's powers, the boy transforms the Charmed Ones into superheroes with superhuman strengths to prevent this frmo happening. Not wanting to give up on her career just yet, Piper tries to restore the popularity of P3. Frustrated by her inability to help all of her readers, Phoebe tries to assist some tenants being evicted by a corrupt landlord. Paige is frustrated by her inability to be intimate with her new boyfriend.

*5.06: The Eyes Have It
      While seeking the advice of a fortune teller regarding her missing power of premonition, Phoebe discovers that there is a demon who has been stealing the eyes of Gypsies, attempting to reverse a Gypsy curse which blinded his demon father. When Phoebe touches a Gypsy pendant, her power returns to her stronger than ever and she vividly witnesses the death of the Charmed Ones by the Gypsy-killing demon. Also, Piper wants to see an OB/GYN, but Leo is concerned about the threat of exposure.

*5.07: Sympathy for the Demon
        When Cole feels that he is going insane after someone begins to toy with his mind, he calls on the Charmed Ones to help him fight the person behind it all. When Phoebe refuses, Paige inadvertantly brings back Barbas, the demon of fear, when trying to help Cole by binding his powers. Barbas traps the Charmed Ones in the manor, using their greatest fears against them to destroy them.

*5.08: A Witch in Time
        After repeatedly saving her boyfriend, Miles, from a death which is meant to happen, Phoebe opens a portal in time which allows a warlock from six months in the future to get through. The warlock, who was sent by future Cole to warn present Cole about Phoebe's death in the future, is blown off by Cole, and so he sets off on his own to attack the Charmed Ones and steal the Book of Shadows, which would allow him to take over the underworld without hassle. After they steal the book, they put Phoebe and Paige "out of commision", leaving Piper alone to reverse all of the damage.

*5.09: Sam I Am
        When Paige gets her first charge, no one realized that it would be her biological father. Sam, who was made a whitelighter again by the Elders, has once again failed, and is in need of some guidance. Paige, who doesn't know that her new charge is her father, tries to get him to talk, but he refuses, since he doesn't even know that Paige is his daughter. When a Tracker, a higher level darklighter, tries to kill Sam, Piper and Phoebe recognize him as Paige's father, and attempt to get him to talk as well. He orbs away, leaving the helpless Charmed Ones to fight off Cole, who wants the Charmed Ones to kill him and put him out of his misery, and the Tracker, who shoots Paige, Sam, and Piper with his poisoned arrows. The baby, who grows more powerful everyday, fends off the arrow, thus making Piper indestructible.
