LANGUAGES Ever wanted to learn a new language? Found most traditional langauges like French, Spanish and German a bit hard going? Well maybe this is the course for you. Specially formualted by Sara and Katie over the past year: Chum, Fl, and Splend, are the new langauage that will help unite people together. Chum This has been developed over the past year to perfection. The simple key to this language is to drop the first letter off a word and replace it with the letters Chum. So 'hello' would be 'chumello'. However like all languages it is not that simple. There are exceptions to the rule where more than one letter is taken off the word because of pronounciation problems. Also the language has many flaws. This includes a large range of words meaning the same thing such as 'cry' and 'try' are moth 'chumry'. This can cause problems for the listener but through practice and familuarity with the language these problems can be over come, (honestly!!) A small exercise to help you on your way to becoming a fluent chummer: Chumhis chumage chumis chumedicated chumo chumree chumange chumeas chumand chumombine chumarvesters!!! Fl This is another beautiful language developed by Miss May. Like chum the first letter is taken away and replaced with the letters fl. A name like 'Gillian' becomes 'Flillian'. The constant repetition of the letter 'fl' gives brilliant accoustic sounds and makes it such a romantic language (however not a memeber of the actually romantic langauges like French and Spanish). A good example is "It's foiling in here!" or "My name is Fillian Flunkly". Splend This is a very new langauge and is still in development. Its history is based on the word 'splendid'. The use of this language is limited to compliments at this pressent time, based on the compliment 'splendid'. Such words as 'splendeautiful' (beautiful) and 'spendulous' and 'splood' are but a few.
