| This is the Prophecy of Valcra, which foretold the coming of Bistofro. The 'Beast of Herkon' is Bistofro himself (his father was Herkon the Warlock). The 'Two Lands' is referring to Marcala and Certinka. Marcala is the land that Bistofro is ruling and Certinka is the Marcalan word for 'Earth.' In other words, we of the planet Earth are also Certinkans. The reference to the 'Ancient Elven' is to point out the Elven smiths of old, when Marcala and Certinka were young and still one land. These smiths created seven rings that could control the forces of nature: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Metal, Wood, and Spirit. These rings were then dispersed throughout the lands to leaders of Men and Elf alike. Over time, the Ancient Elven lost the secrets behind the power of the rings. Fearing that the rings would fall into the wrong hands, they were made part of the spirit of seven different people. When the person died, the ring would pass on to the oldest child of the person or, if that person did not have children, a person that most closely resembled the traits connected with the ring. |

It is unknown who holds the rings within them, but it is known that each person must be one with magick capabilities. Another unknown Item is the reference to the Teleben. There have been several people and colleges who have studied the prophecy in an attempt to discover the meaning behind 'Key to the Teleben,' but it is believed that this information was lost along with the knowledge of the crafting of the rings. The rings themselves, when on their own, have remarkable powers to control the element that they represent. The knowledge to use these powers, however, is another piece of lost information. |
