Ashtarocka, Bearer of the Water Ring
Name: Ashtarocka Betherton

Sex: Female

Class: Mage

Age: 23

Ring: Water

Appearance: A shapely young woman, Ashtarocka has hair that is a deep black with red tints. She is rather tall and is also very well built with muscle shaping most of her body. Her eyes are a bright emerald green that are flecked with grey. Her skin is darkly colored with a deep tan. She usually wears a fitted bodice with a leather pleated skirt and thick leather boots that come up to her knees. She also wears black gloves on her hands to keep from chaffing them when she uses her bow. Just barely noticable on her upper left shoulder is a tattoo of a shield and cross, the mark of a Healer. On her right shoulder is a hooked sword with two snakes entwined around it, the mark of a Raider.

Background: Ashtarocka was born in the small town of Seashore in the country Zanther to a fisherman and a weaver. The country was originally led by King Vanak VII, but he was overthrown by Raider Captain Baronith. He then ordered his forces to raid the towns along the coast. Seashore was one of the first towns hit and all of the adults thirty years and older were killed. Everyone else was taken into slavery, save Ashtarocka and a few other children. It was discovered that Ashtarocka had promise in healing magics and was taken to a school of Magic located at the center of Martog. After several years of training in the art of healing, Ashtarocka was taken to a Raider Training Camp at age sixteen.

She was trained in the ways of the Raiders, which included martial arts, torture tecniques, and several other things that were in conflict with her Healing abilities. Four years later, when she turned twenty, Ashtarocka finally decided that enough was enough. During the night, she snuck out of the camp. But not before she set fire to the Adminstration Building that housed all of her records. Ashtarocka has now been on the run from the Raiders and Bistofro for three years.
