So I will end this story with; My son made it and came home at 5 lbs. 3oz. We found out he had the cutest dimples when he gained weight to give him cheeks, his little bottom is round, his ribs are gone to be replaced with a rounded tummy, his hands & feet are puggy! He never got those baby pimples and he has been smiling since he was born, his laughing giggles bring tears to everyones eyes, his nutty off the wall sence of humor is just nutty! he has been talking from 12 months on, he walked at 7 months, he tells stories with "Once upon A Time", he sings,he dances, he has a temper, he is strong, he is alive....and we love him.
I hope this helps just one parent living through this or shines a little ray of sunshine on parents just finding out they have complications and might be faced with the inside of a special care nursery- You have our thoughts and hearts
This is dedicated to all of his Nurses and Doctors at Childrens, forever gratefully thankful to all the Nurses and to his Doctor the best! And to the parents we met and became friends with at Childrens who lost their little ones to the angels..
He was diagnosed with severe asthma when he was 13 months old. He had an eye operation at 12 months to open a tear duct and is allergic to everything. He gets colds and flu's and keeps them along time! but this you deal with and you keep the house clean and you run and cover everyone elses mouth when they cough or sneeze. you go on! and you pray everyday for all your blessings and for all the other little ones & their parents.
Thank you for sharing this with me! It is good to tell my story and I thank you my visitor from the bottom & top of my heart for letting me. Please visit my Son's page CLICK the LOGO* *Also you can see him at 3 years of age in our family photo album go to the index page button below.
Please don't be afraid of the tubes and wires and blue toes. Everything has it's job and is listening to the heart, lungs, and feeding your little one. Keep smiling if you can and if not, we understand.. |
