As I was in the line of the drive through at the bank, a song came on that reminded me of my brother who passed away 20 years ago in a car accident. For whatever reason, I said outloud, " this song reminds me of my brother". Tommy said, "Yeah Mom, this is the Beatles". I asked him to repeat himself because I thought I was hearing things and he repeated what he said. I asked him how he knew that it was the Beatles. He said almost annoyed--"Mom, the GUY is talking to me". I asked him, "what guy? and he said "the guy in the sky--the brother, the ghost".

One afternoon I was trying to put Tommy down for a nap. He said "the brother is here". I figured it was a stall tactic, so I said, "Ok, if the brother is here, ask him how old he is". Tommy (3 years old) hesitated and then said, "hmmm seven" and I told him to go to sleep. Then he said "wait, he's firty-eight". My brother would be 38 in may.
One night as I was trying to get Tommy to go to sleep, he was babbling about who-knows-what and suddenly said, "look, it's the big daddy in the sky and the bus!" My Dad who also died in the car accident used to own a bus company.
