"Fun Under The Sun"

Awoken by gleams of light
They stroked my brow

And filled my soul
with comfort and delight

I hurdled towards the window
Almost impulsively

To see this source of light
That had woken me

It was the Sun
Calling me outside to play

Sayin
Leave your worries inside
Just have fun today

So..
I ran barefoot
Through tickling grass
And then dove into the pool

My hair was now
Dripping wet
And my skin felt
Rather cool

The Sun
Then wrapped me
In its warmth

Its rays
Caressed my skin

It slowly
Dried me
From head to toe
And warmed me
From within

When the day
Came to an end
I gazed at the setting sun

It felt as though
Id lost a friend
An ending to the fun

I sat there
Remembering
The time we shared
Oh so much fun

It saddened me
To watch you
Disappear
In the horizon

I didnt dare look away
Grasping to the last minutes
Of your company

What I then beheld
Was the most beautiful Sunset
My eyes could ever see

My heart
Was suddenly
Filled with joy
And for home I did race

Jumped in the bed
Tucked myself in
And a smile
Blanketed my face

I smiled because I knew
That we again would become one

Getting together once again
For some Fun under the Sun
