| One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky; Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone; Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die; One for the dark Lord on his dark throne; In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie. One ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie. -FOTR All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost, The old that is strong does not whither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring, Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king. -FOTR Seek for the sword that was broken, In Imladris it dwells. There shall be counsels taken, Stronger than Morgul-spells. There shall be shown a token That Doom is near at hand, For Isildur's Bane shall waken, And the Halfling forth shall stand. -FOTR Out of doubt, out of dark, to the day's rising, I came singing in the sun, sword unsheathing. To hope's end I rode, and to heart's breaking. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red nightfall! -TTT The Road goes ever on and on, Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet. But whither then? I cannot say. -FOTR Farewell we call to hearth and hall! Though wind may blow and rain may fall, We must away ere break of day Far over wood and mountain tall. To Rivendell, where Elves yet dwell, In glades beneath the misty fell. Through moor and waste we ride in haste, And whither then we cannot tell. With foes ahead, behind us dread, Beneath the sky shall be our bed, Until at last our toil be passed, Our journey done, our errand sped. We must away! We must away! We ride before the break of day! -FOTR Ho! Ho! Ho! to the bottle I go, To heal my heart and drown my woe. Rain may fall and wind may blow And many miles be still to go. But under a tall tree I will lie, And let the clouds go sailing by. -FOTR Ash nazg durbatuluk, ash nazg grimbatul, Ash nazg thrakatuluk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul. -FOTR |
