| No Heartbeat It leaves a ringing in my ears Words that penetrate the soul "There's no heartbeat" ....No heartbeat ....No heartbeat The hopes and dreams for my child Disappear, vanish, before my eyes As those words are spoken "There's no heartbeat" ....No heartbeat ....No heartbeat The stillness of the room at that very moment Time stands still as if we are in slow motion My baby now lies still inside me, "There's no heartbeat" ....No heartbeat ....No heartbeat Words that will change many lives Words that will change who I am forever Powerful, monumental words Words that will never be forgotten "There's no heartbeat" It will ring in my ears.......... ....No heartbeat ....No heartbeat Forever........ ....No heartbeat ....No heartbeat By Sarah Slack 02/11/01 Remembering the words that ring in my ears, spoken on Nov. 13th, 2000 |
