| Benson v. Anderson, 129 Wash 19, 223 P 1063 (1924). A bicyclist found it hard going while climbing a bridge and decided to dismount and walk up while pushing his bicycle. He was doing this in the right hand vehicle lane when he was hit by a car. The Washington court held that he was a pedestrian within the scope of a statute requiring pedestrians to walk on the left facing traffic while traveling on a highway at night.
