Overall, I believe Dicken's did an excellent job in writing this chapter and telling about Pip's mood. I doubt that I would want to change anything about it, because this is the way Dicken's wrote it, and I think it should stay the way it is. Today, this book is still being read, partly for research and history and partly for entertainment. This novel shows how it was like back in Dickens' life and how people were treated according to how much money they had and which "class" they were in. It shows us how so many things have changed in the past 150 years. |
