As an idea suggested by Sandra, a member from the Society of American Girl Collectors, it was suggested that we make our own historical dolls. I decided to do so, such as a lot of other people did. I wrote her first and second stories, "Meet Abigail" and "Abigail Learns A Lesson".
Abigail Lousie Harker is an 11 year old girl growing up in Boston, Mass in the year of 1770, the same year that the Boston Massicure occured.
I made her by: buying the Geotz Little Sister doll Tess, renaming her Abigail. I then wrote her first story, Meet Abigail, which is now completed.  Next, I made her meet outfit. I now need to make another one, due to the collar, and make accessories for it.
I am faced with a challenge right now, which is making her collection. Every item in her colletion needs to be different from Lessie's, so it's not too simular, and it has to not require artistic talent -- I'm not good at making anything at all. The other challenge is that I want to do this at a reasonably cheap price. Right now, I only have her "Meet" and "Learns A Lesson" books done and the doll, along with 1 dess! I'll post an update whenever I have one. Wish me luck! :)
Here is Abigail -- she is wearing Felicity's work gown, which is not retired from American Girl. (I got it before it retired)

If you know if the fifth item on this page would be historically accrate, please let me know!
If the AOL link to "Meet Abigail" and "Abigail Learns a Lesson" doesn't work, you may send me an email, and I will send the story to you.
Here is Abby in her meet outfit...
After Abby saw this pattern, she wanted me to use it for her new dress right away. So I started sewing and this is what I came up with! :)
I still need to find shoes... (Challenge: to make the historically accrate!)
If you have any ideas for Abby's collection, please email me and let me know. All ideas are welcome. Thanks!
