Crafters rule of thumb # 1: "Never throw out anything."
Crafters rule of thumb # 2: "Always shop yard sales."
Crafters rule of thumb # 3: "Have fun!"
Big plastic lids, you can get these off of almost anything now a days. Most generaly these lids are safe and because of this they are great for kids to fiddle around with.
If you were to see this at first glance you'd probably never guess it was made with a plastic lid. We added some yard sale find flowers, leaves and ribbon with a bit of hot glue. I do recomed hot glue for this project,
but keep litle hands away because it will burn and could also melt the plastic. Also keep in mind that an adult will have to cut the center of the lid out as well. To make this kid friendly I recomend that an ADULT cuts out the center then let the child go wild with tacky glue, glitter, paper, and fake flowers. Hang it buy placing a loop of ribbon or string in the center.
