  2. The force theory is one theory of the origin in which there was a group of people or a person who basically claimed control of the area and forced all within to obey his powers or the group’s powers.  The evolutionary theory in which there was a family and the head was the ruler and then the families kind of expanded.  The Divine Theory is where people believed that there was one ruler and he/she was born to rule and the followers had to accept the fact.  Another theory is the social contract theory is where the state appeared voluntarily and the people kind of obey as long as the state protects and this was developed out of the majority that agrees.
  3. The Social Contract theory is what influenced the founding of the United States.
  4. People form a government so that it can make the peoples lives more at ease.  They do not have to worry about things like being safe and getting justice when something is done wrong to that person.

  7. The two governments that depend on legislative and executive branches are the presidential government in which there is a separation between legislative and executive.  They are both equal in that both check and balance each other out.  A Parliamentary government is where the two branches are basically one.  The prime minister is the top dog and then his cabinet is the legislative branch also.

  9. There are five concepts of democracy.  One is a recognition that each person has worth and dignity.  Second is there is an equal respect for all persons.  Third is that a faith is in the majority and instance is in the rights of the minorities.  Fourth is that there needs to be an acceptance of compromise.  Fifthly there is an insistence of individual freedom.
  10. Compromise is essential to democracy because there is a need for the individual is what they want and it asks that others think of others also so one must compromise.  Another reason is that every question has multiple answers in different ways, so one must decide what fits best for all which is not going to be one specific answer.

  12. The democratic society provides rights to the minority in that the majority must recognize the right of the minority by being fair and lawful to them.  The majority has an obligation to listen minority has to say, hear its objections, bear its criticisms and welcome its suggestions.
