Leadership Congress

THE HOUSE
Speaker of the House- Dennis Hasert – He is the one who is the leader of the house and he is supposed to basically preside in thing and to keep the order.

Majority leader – Tom Delay – he is the presiding officer and works with the minority leader to help plan things out.

Minority leader – Nancy Pelosi – She helps in planning the meetings out with the majority leader.

Majority whip – Roy Blunt – he is supposed to check with the party members and advise the floor leader of the number of votes that can be counted on. 

Minority whip- Steny Hoyer - he is supposed to check with the party members and advise the floor leader of the number of votes that can be counted on. 

THE SENATE
President of the senate – Dick Cheney – he is supposed to recognize members, put questions to a vote, and other things.

President Pro Tempore – Ted Stevens – serves in the vice presidents absence.

Majority Floor leader – Bill Frist - he is the presiding officer and works with the minority leader to help plan things out.

Majority whip – Mitch McConnell - he is supposed to check with the party members and advise the floor leader of the number of votes that can be counted on. 

Minority floor leader – Tom Daschle - he helps in planning the meetings out with the majority leader.

Minority whip – Harry Reid - he is supposed to check with the party members and advise the floor leader of the number of votes that can be counted on.
