| Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. It has a variety of landscapes. We visited 75 mile beach which is in fact used as a highway. There are many crystal cleer creeks. Including Wangalooba creek, which runs through rainforest.Eli creek pictured top right is great for cooling off. If camping then watch out for those pesky rangers. We consider ourselfs to be fairly tidy people and careful not to damage the environment however we were told that we were not allowed to use some twigs to get our fire going, "everything is protected on Fraser Island" |
