| Brisbane - our first stop in Oz. Our flight from Thailand took approximately 9 hours. However it was not all easy going, we had to change at Melbourne to then fly back up to Brisbane. Aly & I are both smokers and it was a real disaster for us when after 9hrs flying we arrived at Melbourne airport only to find that we couldnt have a ciggarette because the entire airport is non-smoking and we were still in transit so were not allowed to leave. A couple of hours later we arrived at Brisbane and once we had got through customs we ran outside and filled our lungs. back to main page |

| From Brisbane we travelled south to a town near Surfers Paradise (southport) to stay with a friend, Catherine, who kindly put us up for a few days and was our tour guide to the area. Unfortunately we lost our camera during our time there and have no photos from Southport or Surfers Paradise. |
