Welcome!
This is a page dedicated to those of you who have made the big jump and accepted your invitations to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria.  Congratulations!  You are going to be the new B-12 group and we can't wait to meet you .  We have heard you are a pretty large group (around 73) and it's very exciting.  You are about to embark on a great adventure.  Right now you are all waiting to receive your Welcome Books in the mail, and soon you will be pouring over the pages, memorizing all the information and trying to figure out what to expect, what to pack, and basically what to do to prepare for the next two years.  As you may have heard from other volunteer's web pages, the Welcome Book was not updated for this year due to changes in Washington D.C..  Don't worry, the book is great and it's the same one I used to prepare before I left almost a year ago.  There are some volunteers, like myself, who want to share our experiences with you in the hopes of better preparing you.  This page will attempt to give you all the information you could hope for.  I'm hoping to publish letters from currently serving volunteers, and I'm also setting up a list serve so new trainees can get to know each other before staging (highly recommended) and so you can get the best information possible from the many volunteers here.

Also on this page I will regularly post words, phrases or other things in Bulgarian for you ambitious, or nervous people.
