| Hi everyone! Things here have been going fairly well since my last update. The food has gotten much better (at least I think), and I haven't fallen down any more stairs lately! The reason I'm so excited today is because we have something called "Self Directed Learning". It's great. We're supposed to choose what we want to study, and then go out somewhere and do it. Basically it's known as '"Cafe time" by all the trainees! Whether it be internet of bistro is up to the individual. Tomorrow (Friday the 13th) is 2 peoples birthdays. We are going into the capital to celebrate. Mainly because the Ecolog group is going there anyway for their group, and because McDonalds is the absolute best place to celebrate!!! And the really exciting part is that we get to go to the grocery store on Saturday where they actually sell Peanut Butter!!!! It's not real peanut butter but I hope it's close enough. I even heard a rumor that they have m&m's there!!! What a treat! :) I've even started getting a little more sleep lately which probably has something to do with my good mood (in general--I still loathe language classes!) But like I said before, the language is slow but sure. I can finely have psuedo-conversations with my host mom! And I was able to tell her that I was going to be going to Sofia...that's always a good thing. Another trainee wasn't able to do that and had to have someone from the office call home and explain it to the family. No Thanks!!! I can finally do it on my own!! Well, I should take off now. Unfortunately SDL was in the middle of the day, and I have to head back for another very redundant Technical training class. Talk to you later!! Love, sarah |
