| 25 June, 2001 Well, today was the first day of training, and it definately was not what I expected. The three hours of language training flew by so quickly and I'm proud to say that I had reviewed and studied it all weekend. I had a Polio shot today and now my arm hurts a little. But, life goes on. I'm still happy and healthy, although I'm tired a lot and haven't been eating much. The food is very good, and I love my host parents. We go to pick up my sisters on Friday, and that will help to have some people around who speak a little english. Right now our conversations are mainly pictures, and us passing the dictionary back and forth. :) I still don't know the phone number, but I've been planning to rely mainly on email...so just make sure to send me some. I'm getting ready to send out my first batch of letters, so hopefully you will get them soon! I should go home now, so my mom doesn't worry about me, but I will try to write more tomorrow after the school visit. I love you all! |
