| 6/13/01 - Just back from camping with only 5 days left! |
| Eric and I went up to Pine (about an hour and a half north of us) to his parents property where we camped for the night. It was wonderful to get away from the city, even if for only 24 hours. And it was also nice to not think about packing and leaving. I'm starting to say goodbye to friends, and it's making me sad. I know that it will be okay, but it is still hard. Some good news is that I took my backpack to my mom's work to weigh it and it only weighs 41 lbs. I swear the scale is wrong because it feels like 80, but maybe that just shows how out-of-shape I really am! Packing is the most difficult thing for me. How do you pack your life for the next two years into 2 bags? I don't know what to take, and what to leave behind. It's hard. |
