Updates...
Well, this week hasn't offered any new updates, but I haven't really emailed anyone this week.  I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone and just update here.  The week went by fairly quickly, and on Thursday I gave my first test.  The students were actually asking for one; I don't understand it.  They want to be graded, and they really want that "6" (the equivalent of an A).  Some of them did well, some didn't, but I haven't finished grading all of them yet.

On Friday night I made chicken enchiladas with the mix that mom sent and they were the absolute best thing I've eaten here.
Send more enchilada mix!!  They were incredible, a real pick-me-up.  Saturday was spent in Bourgas, and I ran into Jessica, Julie and Terrence.  That probably doesn't mean anything to you guys back home, but Jessica is an ecolog, Julie is a TEFL and Terrence was a volunteer in Bulgaria, but he left in August, and is now in Bosnia with Crisis Corps.  So it was really cool to run into them.

It's getting cold here, and I really love it.  What I would love even more is curling up in flannel pajamas and drinking some hot apple cider (
hint hint).  I'm going to try to get into Sofia on Thrusday to see a doctor about my back, it's been killing me lately.  If I do, I will probably stock up on some good sweaters, a fleece, and maybe a jacket to tide me over until mine gets here at Christmas.

This weekend in the Halloween Party at my house, and there are a fair amount of people coming.  It should be a good time.  I'm still working out all the details of my costume (ok, I actually don't have any ideas-so email me if you have any suggestions!!).

I also went running on Saturday, which by itself isn't really that big of a deal.  I've been running about 3x a week, when I can get the motivation to do it.  But Saturday morning was different.  I went running with Valichko, Dimitrina's husband, and he is hard-core.  My legs are killing me, but it felt so good.  He also showed me some new trails to go on, and I saw the stadium and the pool.  The two of them have been wonderful.  They also told me that they are going to cook me a full Thanksgiving dinner, since I can't be with my family.  I can't wait!!

I guess that's all for now.  Keep the letters coming!!  I love you and miss you all.  Take care

Love, Sarah

p.s. I have recently been asked for ideas to fill up all those packages you generously want to send to me.  Other than the usual american food ideas, I am desperately going to need long underwear (tops and bottoms) for the winter.  I hate to say it but it's already getting cold, and I'm being told by everyone that it just gets colder!  I could use a couple of scarves, one or two good kitchen knives (although I don't know how you'd ship it right now), some of those bubble envelopes (sml and lrg) so I can send home more CD's with pictures, maybe a Dave Matthews Band CD or the Great Expectations Soundtrack.  And, you can never go wrong with books, magazines, newspapers from home, anything that is written in english!  I'm going through about a book a day right now, and my supply is dwindling!!  That's all I can think of.  Love you all!!
