| Well, here we go, the second week of school. Thank goodness that today marked some kind of organization at my school. Last week was absolutely nuts! I don't know how anyone knew where to go and who to teach at what time. I was running around, missing classes, going to the wrong room, and being in the right class at the wrong time. Oh well, I seemed to have figured it out, and they seemed to have figured out my schedule. I LOVE my schedule. I only teach one class on Mondays (very nice), and have 4,5 and 6 classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. How great is that? I am really happy about it. And, I lucked out and don't have to teach any classes before 9am. Yeah!! I am teaching the 9's and 10's this year, and it seems to be going well. I only have to plan 2 different lessons a week because I have 1 lesson with each group of 9's and 2 lessons with each group of 10's. It will be really nice teaching only communication and writing this year. I'm excited because I have a lot more creative freedom, and don't have to do much from the book if I don't want to. It will be great. I'm thinking of starting an English Debate Club at school, and also other fun things like a Film club and others. As soon as I get more settled in, I will try to start these projects. I'll keep you updated as things go. Jake and I finally bought our tickets to Germany this past Friday!! I can't believe that we'll be there in 2 weeks. I'm starting to get very excited, and I can't wait! We watched part of the German elections in Munich this weekend, and got to see part of Oktoberfest on CNN. It looks so cool. We also met a really cool Bulgarian guy who has been living in LA for the past 9 years. His grandmother lives in Shumen, and he is here for a visit. Apparently he heard Jake and I speaking, at a cafe, and stopped to talk to us. He has been a huge help showing me around, and I think tomorrow he is taking me to the local stables that his cousin runs. I think I may start taking riding lessons, it's so cheap here how can I pass it up? Well, that's all for now. I'll talk to you all soon. -Sarah |
