| Tuesday 21, May 2002: Moving Sites... still |
| Well, I know everyone is on pins and needles waiting to find out the moving information. Here it is...I am moving to Shoumen, and will be teaching at the English Language High School there. My counterpart is really cool, and the director is nice also. The main problem? Well, I have no place to live. The school has an apartment, but it is currently being used by a British Council Volunteer who will be here until the end of the semester. The school has found a place for me to live in the meantime, but it is in a house with someone else. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that, but I'll be going to Shoumen today to see the place and really get a feel for things. I was in Sofia over the weekend, and got to do some "real" Peace Corps stuff. One of the Extending volunteers is moving to Sofia to work with the YMCA and his apartment is in shambles, to put it nicely. We spent hours ripping down 3-4 layers of old wallpaper, and basically doing manual labor in exchange for a free place to spend the night. It was actually very nice to do something that felt like real work. Not much else to say right now...I will keep everyone updated on the move, and all that interesting stuff... take care -Sarah |
