Tuesday 14, May 2002:
Moving Sites.
Well, I guess it's time to update everyone on my living situation now.  A few weeks ago there was an incident in my town, and for security reasons, I was required to change sites.  Right now, I am currently homeless, living with Jake in Omertag.  I bet I'm really getting on his nerves, but I have no where else to go.  I was given about one day to pack up my whole apartment, and there is no way I could have done it without the help of my students.  All 26 of them showed up at my apartment early in the morning and spent 2 hours packing up everything.  They were absolutely wonderful.  I'm really going to miss seeing them everyday, but I know that I will be back to visit them often.  My friends in town were also great.  We had a dinner the last night I was in town (Lisa planned it) and everyone was really supportive.

I guess in a way I'm still in shock that I had to move towns.  I really love Karnobat, and think in a way what happened was just a fluke.  But, no matter how much I wish I could change things, I can't.  I will be going on Thursday to meet with the director of the new school I will be teaching at.  I will be moving to a slightly bigger city than Karnobat was - around 100,000 people.  I'll also be moving to a language school.  I don't really know how that will change the experience, better or worse.  Right now I'm just trying to survive with my 2 sets of clothes that I have with me.  Everything else is in storage in Sofia.  Oh well.

That's about all for now.  Dad should be coming in a few weeks.  He's stopping over in Sofia on his way to a wedding in Greece.  It will be nice to see him, and to meet Judy.

I've got to go now. Take care, and be safe.
