Yoshi's Island has plenty of levels to explore- 48 "normal" levels, 8 to a world, and 6 "secret" levels, 1 to a world, that are accessed by getting a perfect score on everything in that world- so if you had a perfect score in all the World 2 levels, you would access the World 2 Secret Level. It's less complicated than I make it. Here's a handy guide about the basics of all 54 levels.
World 1
Level 1-1: Make Eggs, Throw Eggs- This level's an introductory level, basically- it's the "cake-walk" level, with lots of helpful hints along the way for beginners.
Level 1-2: Watch Out Below! - A bit harder than the previous level, mainly because of the giant Chomps that inconveniently plummet into the ground, carving deep pits that you really shouldn't fall into. As the title says, watch out below!
