Unless you're a certain Creatures player who specializes in torturing Norns (Long-time members of the Creatures community will know who I'm talking about), you want your Norns to live healthy, long, and happy lives.

Well, it doesn't always work that way.

Albia is a world of plants, sunshine, and laughter, but it is also a world of weeds, dark caves, and disease. Not to mention the Grendels. So, here are Crystallina's Tips for Content Creatures, guaranteed to bring happiness to your Norns, if not to you, the hand, as well.

Save copies of every norn's EXP file in case Creatures has what I call a "game burp"- a crash that causes you to lose your poor Norns to La-La Land. If you don't have copies of these files, you can kiss them goodbye. My two Norns Amy and Ben suffered this sad fate- don't let your Norns join them.
Deal with your Grendels humanely. You can kill them if you have sadistic tendencies, but there's a Grendel mother in the trees who'll keep spitting out eggs. There are COBs to kill the mother as well, but here's a more pleasant method, the one I use. Lure the Grendel to the still below the incubator room, and keep him good and drunk. He'll spend most of the time sleeping and won't move much. You'll have to keep your Norns away from the still, but do you really want them near booze? (Well, I know some people who would say yes, but for the purposes of this, you don't.)
