There are many miscellaneous pieces of information about FreeCell. Here are secrets, codes, and the like.

No Mouse?
You can play FreeCell, even with no mouse. The columns of cards have numbers, 1 on the leftmost column to 8 at the rightmost. The home cells are represented by 9, and the freecells are represented by 0. To move a card, first press the starting number, then the destination number. For instance, say you wanted to move a card in column 2 to column 7. You'd press the number 2 first, then the number 7. If you need to select a certain card in the freecells, press 0 repeatedly until the correct card is selected.

"User-Friendly User Interface"
Despite the complicated-sounding name, this trick is surprisingly easy. Press CTRL-SHIFT-F10 and a menu with the said title should come up. There are three options you can pick from. "Abort" causes you to win the game after your next move. "Retry" causes you to lose the game after your next move. "Ignore" cancels. (By the way, this is based on the DOS "Abort, Retry, or Ignore?" error messages.)

Negative Numbers
In the Windows 95 version of Freecell, there are two unsolvable games. To access them, go to Select Game and enter either -1 or -2, with the negative signs. These are two games that, because of the layout, are impossible to solve- try them yourself and see!
