* Early performaces: To earn extra money for the family, Sara fronted a band with her brothers. The boys backed her up on guitar, bass and banjo. They played American Legion Halls, talent contests, and PTA meetings - when Sara was just 4 years old. As time rolled on, so did Sara - in a motor home. The 10 year old and the rest of Evans clan rambled down the Missouri highways to gigs in an RV with The Sara Evans Show painted on the side.
* Big break: In 1995 Sara was earning a living by waiting tables in Nashville when country music legend Harlan Howard heard her sing a demo of "Tiger By The Tail". Sara's voice blew him away. He took her tape to RCA Records and a few months later, she had a contract in her hands.

* Worst experience on the road: "We broke down on the grapevine, a winding stretch of California highway, right after I found out my dog had been run over and killed back home." Sara explains. "And then we got picked up in a new bus with 'Satan' as our driver. It was a very bad day."
