| What does the word
"SUGARING "mean to you ? Traditional "SUGARING" is one of the oldest most natural forms of hair removal. Over 1,000 years ago ancient Egyptian & North African Women used "SUGARING" to cleanse and purify their bodies - symbolising the mark of womanhood. Sugaring not only removes unwanted hair, it also removes dead skin
cells, leaving the skin smooth and silky, which makes moisturising more effective.
If this layer of flaking, dead skin is not removed, applying moisturisers
brings little or no benefit to the good layers
underneath. Even today women are continuing to find this ancient art a most effective and popular method of hair removal for all parts of the face and body, in this country and further afield. |

| What happens during
a "SUGARING" treatment? After an initial consultation your practitioner will explain the function of the treatments recommended. The skin is first cleansed of surface oils, make up etc., in preparation for the treatment. The sugar paste is warmed to a very soft consistency, applied very gently to the face or body and massaged over the skin. After a series of controlled movements it is then flicked off the skin, following the contours of the body or face and removing unwanted hair in its path. After the treatment the skin is very easily cleansed of any residue sugar paste as it is water soluble. A very natural product. Following this the skin is then moisturised with soothing oil or lotion. The clients are then given any after care advice for home. For 24 hours before a treatment, do not use oils or lotions on areas to be sugared, as this affects the working of the sugar paste. Also, overheating the body before or after a treatment is not advisable, e.g. no keep fit, cycling, running, hot baths, sun bathing, sun beds, etc. |

| Why Choose sugaring? Many women who have discovered this method of semi permanent hair removal are extremely pleased with the results not only can the skin be left feeling silky, smooth and hair free but it leads to a gradual diminish of the hair growth. After 4-6 treatments most people enjoy
more hair free days. After 12-18 months most people find patches where their
hairs no longer grow, as sugaring weakens the hair follicles.
