Reba Nell McEntire was born on March 28th, 1955 to parent's Clark and Jacqueline McEntire. Born in McAlestor
Oklahoma, raised in Chockie, a town of 18 people. She is one of four children, Alice, Pake, Reba and Susie. She attended
Kiowa High School and then went on to major in Elementary Education and minor in music at Southeastern State University in
Durant, Oklahoma. She is currently in her second marriage to husband Narvel Blackstock who is also her manager. She has
one child, Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock who was born on February 23, 1990. She has won numerous awards for her
musical talent.
Reba first visited the country charts in 1976, but the one time rodeo barrel rider made only modest progress in her
first few years, The highest she'd ever reached was No.3 in 1982, with "I'm not that lonely yet." But 1983 was a banner year
for Reba. Her single "Can't even get the blues" was released in the fall of 1982, and on Jan. 8th, 1983, Reba was finally able to
celebrate a No.1 hit. After that, Reba was on a roll-her next single, "Your the first time I've thought about leaving" also went
No.1. Reba has gone on to become the best selling female country artist in history.
